The Northeast Tennessee Workforce Investment Board is made up of business and community leaders who volunteer to serve as planners for the local workforce development system. The Northeast Tennessee Workforce Investment Board was designed to meet employer needs, enhance skills and support wage progression in response to changing local Labor Market demands.

The Northeast Tennessee Workforce Investment Board will improve opportunities for job seekers by enhancing economic development in Northeast Tennessee and provide guidance and resources to meet employment needs; plus successfully serve the residents and employers of Sullivan, Washington, Carter, Johnson and Unicoi counties.

The strategic goals of the Northeast Tennessee Workforce Investment Board include:

Provide employer focused services

Enhance universal access to Career Centers

Leverage all available resources

Provide training to in/out-of school youth
