Student Jobs - Access student jobs with the federal government at StudentsJobs.gov to locate student jobs, part-time jobs, internships and other opportunities in federal agencies. Northeast Tennessee Career Centers offers Out of School Youth Training Programs through the Workforce Investment Act which are managed by the Alliance for Business and Training (AB&T). The Career Center Staff can refer you to AB&T for these programs.

They are: Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Out of School Youth Programs - AB&T provides programs for out of school youth (high school graduates and dropouts) through the Career Center System and other competitively procured programs. The primary goal of the out of school youth program is to provide occupational skills training and supportive services to enable youth to meet the requirements for high demand occupations. Various training opportunities are available to youth through area training institutions or training contractors. Opportunities are also available for youth who have dropped out of school and have become disconnected from mainstream education. These youth are offered another opportunity to successfully transition into skilled, educated, productive citizens. Programs are currently available in all five LWIA1 counties and operate in the following high schools: Dobyns Bennett, Sullivan South, Sullivan East, Sullivan Central, Science Hill, David Crockett, Unaka, Hampton, Cloudland, Johnson County and Unicoi County.
